His Love Rushes In: Fall Beach Lesson 2021

Can you handle just (maybe) one more beach lesson from our trip in September? If not, just shut this post down!

So, the last couple of days we were at the beach, it was misty some days, and socked in at times with clouds. But we decided even without perfect beach weather, we really enjoyed just being by the water, hearing the waves, and reading. So we got on the beach for at least for part of those days.

I interrupted my reading at times just to watch the waves continue to hit the shore time after time after time. I’ve shared previously about the constant wave action reminding me of the unending love of Christ, coming wave after wave. No matter how we might say, “STOP” we cannot keep the waves of water from rolling up onto the sand or the love of Christ from sweeping over our hearts. Even if we seek just a moment of silence on the beach, it’s impossible!

I shared this quote in an earlier post, Embracing God’s Love, but want to share it again here.

There’s nothing more beautiful than the way the ocean refuses to stop kissing the shoreline, no matter how many times it’s sent away.

For today, if you fell “socked” in with concern, pain, hurt, confusion, betrayal, fear, strongholds and if the world is just GRAY all around you and it’s not even winter where you are, hold on to these truths from Scripture:

I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore, I have continued to extend faithful love to you.

Jeremiah 31:3

And we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and the one who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.

1 John 4:16

But from eternity to eternity the LORD’s faithful love is toward those who fear him, and his righteousness toward the grandchildren.

Psalm 103:17

The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Galatians 2:20

You cannot stop Jesus from loving you no matter what you do, anymore than you can stop the waves! No sin, past, weakness, nothing can stop His love.

Walk in Jesus’ love today no matter how socked in you are. That waves of His love just keep rushing to the shore of my heart, and yours.
