Our Mission in Life: Serving God in Every Season

How do we know when God is finished with us—or with a specific assignment?

Sometimes, He calls us to a role for just a season. Other times, the assignment lasts for years, even a lifetime. When I was actively serving and encouraging women—walking alongside them through life, parenting, work, and ministry—I came to realize that discipling and leading women wasn’t just something I did. It was a deep calling. And it still is.

But when do we step back? When, if ever, do we stop serving?

The truth is—we don’t. Our roles may shift. Our pace may slow. But our purpose remains. We serve Him until He calls us home.

So many in my generation believe it’s time for younger women to step in while we step out. But Kingdom service isn’t about age—it’s about obedience. The “I’ve done my time” mindset doesn’t apply here.

No matter your stage of life, health, or schedule, you can still serve. You can still encourage. You can still shine the light of Jesus—right where you are. The younger generations need us!

Paul wrote:

I am torn between the two. I long to depart and be with Christ — which is far better — but to remain in the flesh is more necessary for your sake. Philippians 1:23-24

If we’re alive, it means God still wants to use us—for His glory, for others’ good, and for our continued growth.

Father, help me to keep on task while I am alive and to inspire others to do the same.
